Do MLM Programs Work?
For some people this is the way to go. I have met a few people over the years that swear by it. I know a few people who make over 100k a year working their multi level marketing program. The unfortunate part about it is that they were the only one making money. No one on their team was duplicating the efforts they were doing. Weather they were selling vitamins travel a gas saver product lotions potions pills candles or juice beverage products I have tried it all and it was a difficult task for me. Once I ran out of my friends and family to bug about my new business once I had two or three home parties I ran out of leads so I started buying leads in hopes to try to convert some people into my business. That is so much harder than it sounds. Sure I made sales but by the time I was getting to the next profit level the people who I brought in 23 months ago were dropping like flies. This is why I could never make it to the next big payout level of the commission plan. For some reason I would always fall short of the next bonus payout or car bonus. Usually I would fall short of personal volume or group volume or I would have enough on my left side but not enough on my right side so I would miss out on the big payouts month after month. This got to be the same old stuff you hear about why MLM doesnt work for most people and the only people making money were the people at the top of the pyramid. People with huge dowlines and people that have been in the business a long time and lists of hundreds of thousands of people to market to. For any newbie joining good luck. I once watched a stay at home mom put 13000 into a business to quit within a year. Most of us are smarter than that and would have quit after a few months and maybe only lost 1000 down the drain but this person was persistent and did not want to fail. So she kept plugging away until they had no money left and when gas prices went to 3.50 the father of the family couldnt afford to put gas in the car. So much for helping out. The only thing we have found on the internet to work for most people is a direct sales company that pays you 100 of the sale. Companies that have a price point of less than 1000 to start. This is the only way you have a chance to succeed. Beware of the 1500 to 5000 programs the start up company and program jumpers. The truth about start ups is that they have no track record. You have no idea if they will be in business two years later. Watch out for people who jump ship every time a new program comes out on the internet. Most importantly be careful of the program that costs more than 1000.00. They are hard to sell no matter how good it sounds. I hope this helps your research in determining a company that you can be proud to represent.

What Is A Downline Anyways???
MLM stands for Multi Level Marketing. The word itself tells you that there are various levels of people involved here.
When you join into the network you are becoming part of someones downline. For you these people who are present already and are at levels above you are part of your upline.
Then as you bring new people into the venture they become your downline. For them you are the upline! So for you you are at the center of the MLM network the people above you are your upline and the people below you are your downline.
But remember one very important thing the upline and downline do not stretch indefinitely. All MLM programs are commission based. Whenever a person in the network makes a sale the commission is earned by members in the upline.
There are some levels of members that will earn commissions. Suppose you make a sale. In that case a commission of that sale will be earned by the members in your upline. But to how many levels? That depends on the compensation plan of your company. The commission may be applicable to about three to five levels of members above you which will depend on the policy of the MLM company. So only these members are in your upline. The members who are higher than these are not in your upline.
It works in a similar manner for downlines. You may get commissions for the sales made by three to five levels of people below you but not lower than that.
Of course different MLM companies have different rules. Hence the limitation on the upline and downline will also differ. This should actually be one of the most important criteria for selecting your MLM opportunity choose one that has more levels of upline and downline.
Now your greatest attention when you are in an MLM opportunity is to move upward in your own upline. How do you do that? You cannot physically replace the members that are already in higher positions. But when you increase the size of your downline you automatically gain a higher status.
From a Gold Level member you might become a Platinum Level member. When that happens even the commissions that you earn will increase.
Again it is not a single persons effort.
Everyone works together to raise your position. The beauty of MLM is that it is a mutually benefiting business. When people work at bringing new members into the fold they are helping their upline to progress also.
That means you need to be as cooperative with your downline as possible. It is they who basically hold the reins that can propel you upward in the network.

Network Marketing Success Disqualify People For Better Results
Building a network marketing business can be a rewarding way to make income and dramatically change your life. One key to success is knowing WHO to work with and WHO to let go. When you know how to disqualify your prospects with respect and dignity then it frees you up to find people who are really ready to go.
What Does Disqualifying Mean?
Qualifying and Disqualifying are sales terms that help you determine who should get more of your time. You can spend your time with anyone but if you want to build a business that makes money you have to focus your effort on people who qualify for more of your time. Its not that your prospects arent people or that they dont have value. Its just that as a leader who is moving forward you need to figure out who deserves your time the most and you need to spend your time there.
When Should I Disqualify People?
This question is tough but the answer is you want to disqualify people as soon as its apparent that they are not moving forward. A doctors advice is only good if the patient uses it. When you are working with someone who says they want to be successful at home give them a task. Tell them to go to a website or listen to a DVD and then set a follow up appointment with them. If they havent done what they said they would do. I would give them maybe one more chance. If they fail to take action again then I would consider them disqualified and I would probably tell them.
How Do You Disqualify People?
You should always treat people with dignity and respect. So with that in mind here is how I would actually let someone go. I would say something like Jim It sounds to me like you may be interested but it seems like this is not the right timing for you. I appreciate your time and courtesy though. Do you have any questions for me before I go?
Im not being rude but I am letting Jim know that Im serious about moving forward and that Im not going to chase him. When you have that kind of attitude it will let people know youre serious. It will also actually help some of your people decide to get busy.
When some people hear that they will ask you for another chance and then they will actually follow through. Other people will breathe a sigh of relief because they werent really interested anyway. They were just being nice. Believe me you dont want to spend 20 hours with someone whos just being nice. If they arent interested you want to know that sooner than later.
